The Event

The OAB-ES, through the Superior School of Law (ESA), will hold the State Congress of Advocacy on August 12 and 13, the State Congress of Advocacy, in Vitória, bringing together some of the most important authorities from the Judiciary and the Brazilian legal sphere. The meeting will take place at the Patrick Ribeiro venue, in Vitória, with high-level discussions for reflection on justice, citizenship, and the role of advocacy in a scenario of profound institutional, social, and technological transformations.

One of the main highlights of the program is the presence of the Minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Cármen Lúcia, nationally recognized for her work in defending the Constitution, democratic institutions, and fundamental rights. Her participation reinforces the relevance of the event and the centrality of debates on strengthening the rule of law and the contemporary challenges of Brazilian justice.

The congress will also feature the participation of ministers from the Superior Labor Court (TST), Maurício Godinho Delgado and Delaíde Miranda Arantes, two of the main references in Labor Justice in the country. Both have a prominent role in the consolidation and interpretation of labor rights, contributing decisively to the development of jurisprudence and to the protection of labor relations in Brazil.

In addition to judicial authorities, the event will gather important names from national advocacy and legal academia. Among them is José Roberto de Castro Neves, lawyer, writer, and member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters (ABL) and the Brazilian Academy of Legal Letters (ABLJ), recognized for his contribution to legal thought and Brazilian literature.

The program will also feature the participation of Maria Sylvia Zanella Di Pietro, Carlos Ari Sundfeld, Marcello Terto, as well as professors Rodrigo Reis Mazzei and Flavio Cheim Jorge, national references in academic production and legal practice, creating a plural and qualified environment for the debate of major themes in the contemporary legal landscape.
