The X Symposium on Brazilian Coffees Research, which will be held in Vitória-ES, from October 8 to 11, 2019, has as its central theme "Brazilian Coffees - Innovation and Sustainability". This edition of the Symposium will have the Capixaba Institute of Research, Technical Assistance and Rural Extension – Incaper as host.

The Coffee Research Symposium's main objective is to present the results of research carried out within the scope of the Coffee Research Consortium, as well as to promote dialogue between the scientific community and the various sectors of the coffee production chain, with a view to ensuring increased competitiveness, improving product quality, signaling new consumption scenarios and trends, and ensuring the sustainability and permanent innovation of the coffee sector. The event has been part of the national scientific and technological development agenda since 2000. In this tenth edition, the program will feature lectures, roundtables, mini-courses, oral presentation of papers, and poster presentation sessions on innovations and relevant technologies for national coffee farming. This year, approximately 600 participants are expected, a public mainly consisting of researchers, extensionists, technicians, professors, university students, leaders of associations and cooperatives, entrepreneurs, coffee growers, and other segments interested in the development of the coffee agribusiness, specialized press, and the general community.

From June 3 to July 22, 2019, the X Brazilian Coffees Research Symposium will receive scientific papers that will be analyzed by the Scientific Committee until August 12. The final result will be announced on September 2. Approved papers will be available on the Brazilian Coffees Research Symposium page, on the Coffee Research Consortium portal, in addition to being displayed during the event in poster format. The Scientific Committee will select 30 papers for oral presentation during the event. The complete event program will be announced soon.
