ITINERANT GENERAL SURGERY CONGRESS MINAS - E.S. - BRAZIL 2019

This Congress is for us from the General Surgery service of Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Vitória – Emescam, a legacy of Prof. Alcino Lázaro da Silva (Professor Doctor Honoris Causa from Emescam, Emeritus from UFMG, from the Minas School of Surgery, Prof. João Batista de Resende Alves, with a young disciple, Dr. Prof. Beatriz Deoti. We received this legacy with the warm and generous hands of Prof. Alcino and his wife Ana Maria Deoti, as a mission. This legacy, this inheritance, was entrusted to us because a tentacle of the Minas School of Surgery came to ES, born and raised with Doctors Floriano Schwanz, Danilo Nagib Salomão Paulo, Álvaro Armando Carvalho de Morais, Claudio Medina da Fonseca, Alvino Jorge Guerra, Mitre Kalil, Luciano Pinto Nogueira da Gama and Edson Ricardo Loureiro, the pioneers, in the 1970s, when the service was born. With this academic link, several theses supervised by Professor Alcino, book chapters, and scientific works with developments were produced. It resulted in the aggregation of so many other values, such as the former director, Dr. Flávio Takemi Kataoka, and from this sum, our general surgery service grew and today represents a school of surgery in ES. This school only perpetuates itself with the involvement of the youngest, the undergraduate and postgraduate alumni, the "silver of the house." All these alumni are now invited to get involved and with their gifts and skills must participate in the Emescam alumni association to help perpetuate our School of Medicine. Thus, all of us, professors, alumni, and/or former residents are invited and called (summoned) to integrate and collaborate in this mission, to hold this Annual General Surgery Congress, in a win-win partnership, as a great team, in a relay race. Nominally citing the younger surgeon colleagues, so that they engage, add, agglutinate, get involved in this cause, which belongs to all of us: Dr. Mauricio Carvalho Guerra, Dr. Robert Alexander Stephen, Dr. Carlos Renato Renon, Dr. Roberto Santos, Dr. Caio Duarte Neto, Dr. Rogério Rangel, Dr. Fernando Duval, Dr. Fernando Abreu dos Santos, Dr. Fabio Romero Dias, Dr. Tiago Pancini, Dr. Eron Cobe, Dr. Gilmária Millere, Dr. Roger Bongestab, Dr. Olivio Batisti, Dr. Rodrigo dos Santos Lugão, Dr. José Alberto da Motta Correia, Dr. Gustavo Alves de Oliveira, Dr. Ricardo Ferrari Bastista, Dr. Gustavo Mesquita Nespoli, Dr. Athos Miranda Bernardes and many others who will come. From now on, we count on the institutional support and our provider, Dr. Maria da Penha Rodrigues D’ávila, decided to embrace this cause that belongs to all of us. We are creating the structure for this event to be a mark of our school in the area of general surgery.

Cancellation requests will only be accepted when requested through the event website by 10/09/2019

Refunds will be issued 30 days after the event concludes, with a 5% retention of the amount paid. For cancellation or withdrawal requests after the stipulated deadline, no refund will be provided. In case of no-show, the amount paid will not be refunded.

The Surgery Congress will offer a discount for groups of students.

Criteria:

From 05 (five) participants, 10% discount

From 10 (ten) participants, 15% discount

Regulations: GROUP REGISTRATION

A student representative must send an email to [email protected] with the name, email, and CPF of each participant in the package. A code will be generated and sent to the participants, which will be used when registering on the website. All group members must register in the registration system.

The Pre-Congress will take place on September 11th in the Grand Hall with courses aimed at Medical students and will focus on Acute Abdomen and Trauma. More information will be released soon.
