Current panorama of Science, Technology, and Innovation in Espírito Santo highlighted at the Conexão Ciência fair
The second edition of Conexão Ciência - State Week of Science, Technology, and Innovation, an event that will present the novelties of these three fundamental pillars for the development of cities, will take place in the City of Innovation, in Jardim da Penha, Vitória, on November 25 and 26. Admission is free.
The opening, on the 25th, will be attended by authorities, such as the Secretary of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Professional Education, Bruno Lamas; the rector of the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Espírito Santo (Ifes), Jadir Pela; and the coordinator of the Cities Lab (LabCidades), Everlam Elias Montibeler. The three will address the current panorama of science, technology, and innovation in Espírito Santo.
Also at the event's opening, there will be the launch of the Espírito Santo Innovation Map Platform, a tool that contributes to the improvement of public management, participation mechanisms, and the democratization of access to innovation policies promoted in the state, and the signing of the contract for accelerators for the second edition of Seedes and the Sementes do Rio Doce program.
Digital transformation, energy transition, and the innovation ecosystem will also be on the agenda on the first day of the Fair, with the participation of renowned institutions.
Creativity + Innovation
One of the highlights of the second day of the State Week of Science, Technology, and Innovation will be the presence of writer Marcelo Pimenta, Creativity professor at the Superior School of Advertising and Marketing (ESPM) and at the University of São Paulo (USP), who will talk about “Creativity + Innovation: Path to Success”.
The public will also attend debates on topics such as Sustainable and Smart Cities; Technological Innovation in Traffic Safety; Telehealth and Artificial Intelligence; and check out the news from exhibitors such as LabCidades, Base27, Sebrae, Detran, among others.
The 2nd Conexão Ciência - State Week of Science, Technology, and Innovation has the support of the City of Innovation; Faesa, the Union of Private Education Companies of Espírito Santo (Sinep); Multivix; Serra City Hall; Espírito Santo State Information and Communication Technology Institute (Prodest); Capixaba Open University (Unac) and the Research and Innovation Support Foundation (Fapes). Institutional support is from the Secretariat of Science, Technology, Innovation and Professional Education (Secti).

Pimenta is an expert in Innovation and Creativity and was, from 2015 to 2023, the only representative of Brazil at the World Innovation Forum, NetExplo, where, with the support of Unesco, he was part of the Academic Council formed by 13 countries with the objective of identifying the main digital innovations affecting society and revealing the greatest world trends.
He also works as an Innovation specialist at the Institute for Digital Transformation (ITD), the only Brazilian institute exclusively dedicated to digital transformation, with forums, presentations, lectures, and unprecedented content.
